Family vacation at the farm – A fantastic playground

For your kids, a vacation in the Dolomites means experiencing 1000 different adventures every day! The great playground for children at the farm Planatschhof guarantees hours of fun, while the safe surroundings of the farm are ideal for setting off on exciting discovery journeys. Swings, a slide, a sandpit, a trampoline, a playhouse with a climbing wall, and table tennis complete the variety of leisure activities for children at the farm Planatschhof. Parents may either join in the hustle and bustle or relax wonderfully under the warming rays of the sun. The various rest and play benches in the outdoor area are ideal for young and old!

Live and breathe farm life – Farm animals at the Planatschhof

Our many farm animals will delight your children every day. Our calves, goats, chickens, rabbits, and cats live on our farm all year round and are part of our large farm family. Our cats are very cuddly, and they look forward to many small children’s hands petting them. Watch out for eggs! In the warm months, our 15 chickens roam freely in selected outside areas to find the best food. By the way, our chicken Berta lays the most delicious eggs. However, dealing with the animals is not only fun, but it also offers youngsters educational experiences and develops a sense of responsibility. If you wish, you are welcome to accompany us to the stable and lend a hand with farm work. All calf lovers should please consider that part of the livestock is on the pasture in the summer and the remaining calves are on the meadow adjacent to the farm.

With heart and hand through stables and forests

Farmer Andreas takes care of the farm, the forest, and the animals with great love and passion. He always focuses on the well-being of his family, our guests and of course also of our animals and the forest. We are strongly connected to nature and that feels good and right.

Our farm, which includes about 5 hectares of meadows and an adjacent 6 hectares of forest, keeps us busy all year round. Our calves – exclusively beef breeds – are outside in the fresh mountain air for most of the year and happily graze on the lush green meadows. The meadows are mowed 3 times a year, and then the hay is brought in. This way, our animals are provided with the best feed even in winter, when the meadows are covered with a thick blanket of snow. During the winter months we keep our animals in a warm stable, where they are fed twice a day with our own hay. We also use the forest as a resource. So, we take the firewood from the forest, which we need for our large wood stove, to keep our house cosy and warm even in the winter.

Farm products – High-quality products from our farm

The home-made products, which are produced on our farm, taste unbelievably delicious. You may buy fruit spreads, juices, eggs, vegetables, seasonal herbs as well as bacon (“Speck”) in our small farm shop. In addition to preserves, there are also various spreads that are lovingly made by the farmer Sonja, depending on the season. The berries contain all the healing power and abundance of South Tyrolean nature and will particularly refine your breakfast. Of course, this also includes a fresh breakfast egg! A specialty that for many is emblematic of a holiday in South Tyrol is the typical bacon (“Speck”), which we refine with special spices. In certain periods, the farm Planatschof also provides meat from the farm cattle, for which our animals are picked up by the butcher in good time. Meat products from animal-friendly husbandry and stress-free slaughter correspond to our idea of animal husbandry.

Original South Tyrolean products from sustainable and naturally regional cultivation are one more reason for a South Tyrolean holiday at the farm Planatschof in the beautiful Funes Valley.
